Talk about feeling loved! I have been fortunate enough to befriend a phenomenal asset to Staten Island's Eger Nursing home, Annette. She has not only become a wonderful friend, but she is the coordinator of fun at the nursing home so when I suggested coming to visit and sing a few songs she was more than delighted to help me. On the afternoon that I went, I was greeted with more love and open arms than I knew what to do with. The residents were thrilled, making my time spent there all the more fun. I got to do what makes me happiest and sing a bunch of Judy Garland, and Barbara Streisand songs. At times, the visit turned into a sing along so I knew for sure the men and women of this prestigious audience were having a good time. After I got through my songs, I got to spend some time chatting with the residents only to be met with an outpour of well wishes and additions to my cheering squad at Miss New York. I left realizing how wonderful people can be, and so proud to have such wonderful residents living on Staten Island.
